  • The SSL settings may be wrongly configured.
  • Opting for an inactive customer when making transactions in QBO.
  • There may be some incomplete accounting tasks in QuickBooks Online that haven’t been finished yet.
  • Lastly, wrong system time and date can also result in QB Error 6250.

Walkways for the fixation of QuickBooks Error code 6250

The approaches to resolving Error 6250 in QuickBooks desktop are multifold and each of the methods work in specific cases, depending on the source of the error. Perform each of the methods one by one to get this issue rooted out from the system.

Method 1: Getting the inactive customer activated

The procedure to activate the inactive customer is:

  • To start with, the user should log in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using the correct credentials.
  • When successfully logged in, the next should be making a move to the Sales tab.
  • Then, opt for the Customers option, and therein, the user needs to choose the inactive customers from the Customers list.
  • Then, opt for the client. Herein, a list of inactive customers will show up on the screen.
  • The user should then click on the option “Make active” after making a choice for the inactive customer.

Method 2: Rectification of System Date and Time

Wrong date or time may result in QuickBooks Error 6250. The guidelines for fixing date and time on the computer are:

  • Hover the mouse over the bottom-right corner of the taskbar, and from there, right-click the time.
  • Thereafter, hit on the option to Adjust Date and Time.
  • Make necessary corrections to the date and time, while also correcting the Time Zone.
  • When all this has been altered, proceed by hitting on Apply, and followed by that, click on Ok.
  • The next step should be to retry the same action which resulted in Error 6250.
